The NIT championship was played last night and Baylor defeated Iowa 74-54. Why is that important to this ACC-centric website? It's because the SCACCHoops.com Game Simulator called it. You might recall that on a whim I posted an NIT bracket prediction, well it turns out Game Sim's picks were once again solid. Here was the NIT bracket I posted, in case you forgot (and why would you remember?).
In all, it did pretty well picking the bracket. Although Virginia's loss to Iowa certainly hurt its bracket predictions. Who would have thought that Virginia would have folded like that though? It saw Maryland's run to the NIT Final Four happening and predicted a rematch of Virginia/Maryland. Too bad that didn't happen, remember the matchup on the final day of the regular season?
With Game Sim picking the NIT champ correctly, next up is the NCAA championship in which it predicted Louisville would win it all.
